Billiemi

Billiemi Grey marble is quarried from the mountains surrounding Palermo, specifically from Monte Billiemi, located in the northwest area of the city. This marble has been used for over 1,000 years and can be seen in monumental works such as the Quattro Canti in Palermo, inside Casa Professa, and as paving stones for streets. In modern times, Billiemi marble has been successfully used in Germany, Japan, and the USA, consistently favored by architects for its physical properties and distinctive gray color, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications. This marble features a fairly uniform gray color and is used for furnishings, artistic elements, flooring, wall facades, cladding, decorative purposes, bathrooms, kitchens, urban furniture, lathe work, sculptures, ornaments, and interior wall cladding. It can be polished, bush-hammered, and patinated.
